Authorities are probing the Delhi blast incident near the Red Fort Metro Station, with new information pointing to Dr. Umar Mohammad as the individual driving the explosive-laden vehicle. Sources close to the investigation have identified Dr. Mohammad, a medical professional from Pulwama, as being linked to the Faridabad terror module. This module was recently dismantled, leading to the recovery of a large cache of explosive materials, including ammonium nitrate. CCTV footage has reportedly captured images of the masked driver of the Hyundai i20 car that detonated. Investigators suspect that ammonium nitrate, fuel oil, and detonators were used in the attack, which resulted in fatalities and numerous injuries. The discovery of this link to the Faridabad module, where nearly 3,000 kg of explosives were confiscated, including ammonium nitrate and other components, has intensified the ongoing investigation. Delhi Police have initiated legal proceedings under the UAPA and Explosives Act. In light of the seriousness of the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will convene a critical security meeting with top officials to assess the threat and coordinate response efforts.
