Tragedy has struck the CRPF’s 193rd F Battalion stationed in the Naxal-prone Saranda forest of West Singhbhum. Head Constable Rajesh Kumar, aged 52, passed away under questionable conditions while carrying out his duties. The incident took place at the CRPF camp in Chhotanagra, Manoharpur block.
According to available information, Kumar collapsed unexpectedly during his duty shift on Saturday. He was immediately rushed to the Manoharpur Community Health Centre by his colleagues. Doctors at the facility confirmed his death after an initial examination. The provisional cause of death is cited as a heart attack, though definitive confirmation awaits the official post-mortem findings.
Head Constable Kumar, a resident of Musabani in East Singhbhum, was actively participating in the ongoing mission to clear the Saranda region of Naxal activity. He was known for his unwavering commitment to his responsibilities and his proactive involvement in operational duties.
The sudden passing of their colleague has cast a pall of sorrow over the CRPF personnel. Fellow officers have lauded Kumar for his integrity, discipline, and dedication, stating that the battalion has lost a valuable and committed member whose absence will be profoundly felt.
