Minister of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Sudivy Kumar, Secretary Mr. Manoj Kumar, Sports Director Mr. Shekhar Jamuar, and General Secretary of Jharkhand Olympic Association, Mr. Madhukant Pathak, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren at his official residence today. On this occasion, they handed over an invitation letter to the Chief Minister to attend the inauguration ceremony of the 4th South Asian Athletics Federation (SAFF) Senior Athletics Championship, scheduled to be held from October 24 to 26 at Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi, Ranchi. The inauguration ceremony will be held on October 24 at 6 PM. The Sports Minister briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations for the SAFF Senior Athletics competition being organized in Ranchi.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has been consistently hosting various national and international level sports competitions. In this series, it is a matter of pride for the entire Jharkhand that an international athletics competition is once again being organized in Ranchi. It should be a grand, splendid, and successful event so that our state establishes a distinct identity at the international level in the field of sports.
