Jashpur district is set to experience a significant developmental uplift following Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s recent visit, during which he inaugurated completed projects and laid foundation stones for new ones totaling Rs 40.89 crore. The initiative encompasses 13 key projects aimed at fostering all-round development, particularly in the Farsabahar region.
Four finished projects, valued at Rs 4.16 crore, were inaugurated by the Chief Minister. These include vital road construction projects such as the Maskamara to Lavakera main road (1.70 km), the Ambakchar approach road (1.00 km), and the Mundadih approach road (0.90 km). These enhancements are vital for improving local transportation networks.
The main focus of the visit was the groundbreaking for nine new development projects, representing an investment of Rs 36.72 crore. The Pamsala–Saraïtola road construction, a substantial 11.50 km project costing Rs 23.96 crore, leads this new phase. The plan also includes a new Rest House building in Farsabahar (Rs 1.72 crore) and a Sludge Treatment Plant (Rs 31.38 lakh), addressing crucial civic amenities. Furthermore, a strong emphasis has been placed on bolstering tribal education through the construction of multiple Post-Matric and Pre-Matric Boys’ Hostels, with individual project costs ranging from Rs 1.52 crore to Rs 1.91 crore.
These projects are a testament to the state government’s policy of inclusive growth, targeting improvements in rural connectivity, sanitation facilities, educational opportunities, and the overall welfare of tribal communities. Chief Minister Sai’s presence and these project inaugurations signify a renewed commitment to bringing development to the remotest villages of Jashpur.
