Its opening day collection of ₹24 crore set a strong precedent for its subsequent success.
Further cementing its status as a box office juggernaut, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ shows no signs of slowing down. This Kannada folklore epic, directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, has now crossed the ₹589 crore mark domestically. Its widespread appeal has also led to staggering worldwide earnings exceeding ₹800 crore, a testament to its powerful storytelling and cultural resonance.
Competing for audience attention this Diwali, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, is holding its ground. The romantic film has accumulated ₹41.25 crore after six days, demonstrating a consistent draw at the ticket counters despite a more modest opening.
On the South Indian front, the Tamil films ‘Dude’ and ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’ are exhibiting mixed box office results. ‘Dude’ has reached ₹64.90 crore by its tenth day but experienced a noticeable drop after its initial week. ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’ continues its gradual ascent, reaching ₹35.25 crore on day ten.
