Raipur, October 26, 2025/ It is a matter of pride for the residents of the state that innovations and the resolve for Maoist eradication in Chhattisgarh were mentioned in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the special mention of Ambikapur’s ‘Garbage Cafe’ and the achievements of Indian breed dogs by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is an honor for the entire state. Today, the Chief Minister listened to the 127th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in Shanti Nagar, the state capital Raipur.
Extending Chhath festival greetings, Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a special platform that connects innovative, inspirational, and public welfare works happening across the country, giving national recognition to efforts that bring about positive change in society. He said that it is a matter of pride for every citizen that Chhattisgarh was mentioned in the program.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi appreciated the unique initiative of the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation, ‘Garbage Cafe’, which has set an example in making the city plastic-free. Here, food is provided to those who give plastic waste – this initiative has become a wonderful example of cleanliness, recycling, and social empathy. An unprecedented initiative has been undertaken in Ambikapur to clean plastic waste from the city. Garbage Cafes are being run in Ambikapur. These are cafes where people are served a full meal in exchange for bringing plastic waste. If a person brings one kilogram of plastic, they get lunch or dinner, and if someone brings half a kilogram of plastic, they get breakfast. These cafes are run by the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the Prime Minister mentioned the increased vibrancy of festivals, the Chhath festival as a symbol of social unity, and the spirit of a self-confident India moving forward. He expressed pride in the shrinking impact of Maoist activities. He stated that due to the strong resolve of the double-engine government, significant results are being achieved in the direction of peace and security in the country. He added that basic facilities are now reaching remote villages through the Niyad Nellanar scheme.
The Chief Minister said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has filled every Indian with pride. This time, lights of happiness have also lit up in areas that were once shrouded in the darkness of Maoist terror. He said that people want to eradicate the Maoist terror that had put the future of their children in jeopardy.
Mr. Sai further said that the Prime Minister also appreciated the decision to include Indian breed dogs in security agencies. Giving an example, he said that an indigenous dog in a Maoist-affected area of Chhattisgarh detected 8 kilograms of explosives, saving the lives of soldiers. This proves that Indian breed dogs are more adaptable, efficient, and reliable.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi also emphasized nature conservation, urging all citizens to plant trees and appealing to join the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign. He said that environmental innovations need to be promoted as a mass movement.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the Prime Minister called for celebrating the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’ as a festival. Describing it as an immortal expression of patriotism, he appealed to every citizen to spontaneously participate in its glory. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi paid homage to Lord Birsa Munda on his death anniversary, acknowledging his supreme contribution to tribal rights and the freedom struggle. He said that Tribal Pride Day is a day to express gratitude to those great tribal leaders who sacrificed their all for the freedom and honor of the country.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the Prime Minister appealed to the countrymen to share innovations and positive efforts happening around them so that others can also take inspiration from them and contribute to societal welfare.
Chief Minister fed fodder to Punganur breed cows
After the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai fed fodder to Punganur breed cows and gathered information about their characteristics. It is noteworthy that this special breed found in Andhra Pradesh is famous for its unique physical structure and distinctive qualities.
MLAs Mr. Purandar Mishra, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Mr. Rajiv Agarwal, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Mati Kala Board Mr. Shambhunath Chakraborty, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Minorities Commission Mr. Amarjeet Chhabra, and many other public representatives were also present at the program.
