A viral video purportedly showing BJP Kisan Morcha District Vice President Vikul Chaprana involved in a heated road rage incident in Meerut has drawn strong reactions and differing accounts. The clip allegedly shows Chaprana and others intimidating two men and damaging their vehicle, with one victim, Satyam Rastogi, facing public humiliation. Opposition parties have widely shared the video, using it to criticize the current government and allege unchecked power by ruling party members.
Contrary to the initial viral claims, local shopkeepers who witnessed the event have provided a different perspective. Several eyewitnesses stated that Satyam Rastogi, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was the aggressor. According to their accounts, Rastogi began the dispute by hurling abuses at Vikul Chaprana and then allegedly punched the BJP leader’s car, leading to the subsequent confrontation and alleged damage.
Authorities have confirmed the incident took place on the evening of October 19 in Meerut’s Tejgarhi area. The police are investigating, with initial findings suggesting the dispute originated from a parking disagreement. A formal complaint has been registered by Satyam Rastogi’s brother, and the investigation is ongoing to establish the full facts.
