The Kali Temple at Koderma Railway Station was the scene of an extraordinary two-day Kali Puja festival, marked by deep reverence and joyous celebration. A highlight of the festivities was the grand ‘Jagran’, a night of continuous devotional singing and performances, held after the evening Aarti. A diverse array of artists, both local talents and visiting performers, delivered breathtaking acts that deeply moved the gathered devotees.
The spiritual journey began with an invocation to Lord Ganesha, presented by Munna Bhadani. The atmosphere pulsed with energy as Vinod Chaurasia led the congregation in singing popular devotional tunes. The musical offerings continued with impressive bhajan performances from Raja Chaurasia, Anuradha Singh, Kshama Sonkar, and Anand Singh. The musical ensemble, including Vishal Kapshima on the organ, Bablu Pandey on the dholak, and other skilled musicians, provided exceptional support, elevating the overall experience.
Following the Aarti, Goddess Kali received her divine offerings, and a massive community kitchen (‘Bhandara’) was organized, where thousands partook in the blessed Prasad. The resounding chants of devotees filled the venue, creating an overwhelming sense of spiritual connection.
This yearly event is a testament to the unwavering faith and commitment of the temple committee, aimed at fostering spiritual values, communal unity, and goodwill. The intricate puja rituals were performed by temple priest Vijaykant Upadhyay, who also commenced the event with the auspicious lighting of the Kali Jyoti.
