The 4th Jharkhand State Taekwondo Championship has concluded with Godda district claiming the coveted overall championship title. Hosted at the Staff Club in Urjanagar, the three-day competition witnessed fierce bouts and impressive displays of martial arts prowess. Godda’s contingent shone brightly, accumulating a total of 16 gold medals, complemented by 19 silver and 8 bronze awards. This outstanding achievement cemented their status as the leading district in the state’s taekwondo circuit.
Following closely behind, Deoghar district secured the runner-up position with a commendable tally of 8 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Other districts like Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, East Singhbhum, Chatra, Ranchi, and Bokaro also put forth strong performances, showcasing their athletes’ dedication and skill in various medal categories.
Around 250 talented taekwondo practitioners from all corners of Jharkhand converged for this significant event. The closing ceremony celebrated the athletes’ hard work and dedication, with medals and certificates being awarded to the victors. Such championships play a crucial role in nurturing talent and promoting the sport.
