On the auspicious occasion of Deepavali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed a profound message to the citizens of India through a national letter. He described the festival as a beacon of energy, enthusiasm, and righteousness, noting its enhanced significance with the second Deepavali following the historic Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya. Drawing inspiration from Lord Ram’s life, PM Modi lauded ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a testament to India’s commitment to justice. ‘Lord Shri Ram teaches us to uphold righteousness and also gives us the courage to fight injustice. We have seen a living example of this… during Operation Sindoor,’ he wrote, emphasizing that the operation successfully avenged injustice while upholding righteousness.
A key highlight of the message was the illumination of previously remote districts, now free from the menace of Naxalism and Maoist terrorism. The Prime Minister celebrated this as a monumental achievement, recognizing individuals who have renounced violence to embrace the Constitution and mainstream development. ‘This is a major achievement for the nation,’ he stated. The letter also acknowledged recent economic strides, such as the implementation of lower GST rates, dubbed a ‘GST Bachat Utsav,’ resulting in substantial savings for the public. Modi expressed confidence in India’s economic trajectory, projecting it to become the world’s third-largest economy. He concluded by calling for a collective effort towards a ‘Viksit’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat,’ urging citizens to embrace local products and promote national unity and well-being.
