Hong Kong International Airport became the site of a serious aviation accident on Monday as a Boeing 747-481 freighter experienced a runway excursion just after touching down. The cargo plane, originating from Dubai, collided with a ground service vehicle during the landing sequence. This impact unfortunately pulled the vehicle into the water adjacent to the runway. While the flight’s crew managed to disembark without significant harm, two members of the ground staff tragically lost their lives. Rescue teams were immediately deployed, working amidst the submerged wreckage to manage the situation. Aviation safety officials are now investigating the causes behind this catastrophic incident.
