Key BJP leadership is expected to gather on Sunday for a Central Election Committee meeting aimed at finalizing the list of candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. Sources indicated that the meeting will take place at the party’s New Delhi headquarters. This significant step comes after a high-level NDA leaders’ conclave on Saturday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, HAM(S) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal, and Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde were among the prominent leaders present at the Saturday meeting hosted by BJP President JP Nadda. The alliance partners, including the BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM(S), and RLM, have been actively engaged in negotiations over seat distribution.
The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) also convened its senior leaders for a strategy session. Party MP Shambhavi Chaudhary confirmed that their central parliamentary board met, chaired by Chirag Paswan, and that the party president holds the authority for the final seat-sharing agreement. She described the discussions as “positive and good.”
Adding to the electoral anticipation, JD(U) working president Sanjay Kumar Jha voiced certainty that Nitish Kumar will lead the next NDA government, predicting its formation on November 14, post the Bihar poll results. Polling is slated for November 6 and November 11, with the outcome to be declared on November 14.
