In the wake of a defense deal, Pakistan is set to receive a significant boost from Saudi Arabia in the form of a major investment. The Saudi company Go Ai Hub is set to establish technical training centers in Pakistan, aimed at educating and training Pakistanis in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The initial phase of this project plans to train a minimum of 50,000 Pakistanis, with an initial target of creating 1,000 jobs. This initiative is designed to support Pakistan’s ambition to generate 3 million jobs in the AI sector.
Following the defense deal, Pakistan had been keen on attracting investment. Pakistan has been pursuing investment deals with Riyadh in various sectors including health and communication. Saudi Arabia had recently signaled its intention to invest in the health sector, but Go Ai Hub has moved ahead with its investment plans. Go Ai Hub, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specializes in connecting advanced AI solutions with government and business entities throughout Saudi Arabia.
The defense deal between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, signed in September 2025, includes a clause that an attack on either country will be considered an attack on both. This agreement followed an Israeli attack on Qatar. This agreement provided Saudi Arabia with nuclear protection. Pakistan, the only Muslim nation with nuclear weapons, possesses around 170 nuclear weapons, according to SIPRI. It is speculated that Pakistan offered Saudi Arabia nuclear protection as a condition for investment.
