The Honda Shine 125, a trusted two-wheeler in the country, has seen its price lowered as a result of the new GST 2.0 reforms. Depending on the model, prices for the 125 model have decreased by a maximum of Rs 7,443. This price reduction has led to a rise in demand across the domestic market. The latest Shine 125, launched in February 2025, is a popular choice in the commuter segment due to its reliability, fuel efficiency, and ease of use. With the updated tax structure in effect, the drum brake variant is available at Rs 78,539, and the disc brake variant is available at Rs 82,898.
Comparing the pre-GST prices with the new prices, the drum brake variant has seen a price reduction of Rs 6,687, and the disc variant has been reduced by Rs 7,058.
The Honda Shine 125 features a 123.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.63 hp and 11 Nm of torque, combined with a 5-speed gearbox.
In the scooter segment, the Jupiter now costs Rs 72,400, down from Rs 78,881, and the Jupiter 125 is available at Rs 75,600, compared to the previous price of Rs 82,395. The Ntorq series’ 125 cc variant is priced at Rs 80,900, while the 150 cc version is priced at Rs 1,09,400.
Commuter bikes such as the Radeon and Sport, which sell in high volumes, have also benefited. Both models are now priced at Rs 55,100, reduced from Rs 59,950 each. The Raider is available at Rs 80,500, down from Rs 87,625.
