Hero MotoCorp has once again asserted its leading position in India’s two-wheeler market. Sales figures from the government’s vehicle portal indicate that Hero outperformed competitors in the first half of fiscal year 2025-26 (April-September 2025). Here’s a breakdown of the sales performance of major two-wheeler brands.
Hero MotoCorp: Maintains Top Spot
From April to September 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 24.14 lakh units. The Hero Splendor was the most popular model, with the HF Deluxe and Passion Xtec also contributing to strong sales in both rural and urban markets. The success of Hero’s bikes can be attributed to their competitive pricing, dependable engines, and fuel efficiency.
Honda: Scooter Segment Strength
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) secured the second position, selling 21.84 lakh units. The Activa was Honda’s best-selling model, becoming the top-selling scooter in India. Honda also experienced growth in the motorcycle segment, with the Shine 100 and Shine 125 models driving volume increases.
TVS Motor: Strong Showing in Scooters and Premium Motorcycles
TVS Motor Company ranked third, selling 17.20 lakh units in H1 FY26. The Jupiter scooter and Apache motorcycle were the company’s leading models. The Raider 125 and iQube EV electric scooter further strengthened TVS’s market position.
Bajaj Auto: Pulsar and Chetak Drive Sales
Bajaj Auto secured the fourth position with sales of 11.43 lakh units. The Pulsar and Chetak electric scooter were the best-selling models for Bajaj.
Suzuki and Royal Enfield
Suzuki Motorcycle India took fifth place, with sales of 5.23 lakh units. The Access 125 continues to be the best-selling model, with the Burgman Street also performing well.
Royal Enfield achieved the 6th position, selling 4.53 lakh units. Models like the Classic 350, Bullet 350, and Hunter 350 have solidified its position in the premium segment.
