Kawasaki is gearing up to introduce its new KLE 500 adventure motorcycle, following a teaser campaign at EICMA 2024 where a 21-inch front wheel and the KLE name were displayed. A recent teaser video hints at an imminent release, with the phrase ‘Coming Soon’ appearing on screen.
The KLE 500 is expected to utilize the 451cc parallel-twin engine from the Ninja 500, which delivers 45.4hp and 42.6Nm of torque. This configuration suggests the KLE 500 will be engineered for adventure riding, built on an updated chassis.
Design elements revealed include a 21-inch front wheel, USD front forks, and a Nissin single front disc brake. The new video also shows a steel box-section swingarm, spoked wheels with tube tires, and an exhaust pipe design similar to the Ninja 500, positioned on the lower right side.
Performance should be comparable to the Ninja 500, with solid mid-range power and ample torque for highway travel. The KLE 500 is tailored for adventure and touring enthusiasts.
While the official launch is anticipated at EICMA 2025, with sales in India projected to commence in 2026. The pricing is anticipated to be around ₹6 lakh+.
If Kawasaki India adopts local assembly, similar to the KLX230 model, the KLE 500 could present a compelling adventure bike choice for the Indian market.
