Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, demonstrated strong performance in September 2025. The company dispatched 687,220 units, marking an 8% rise from September 2024’s 637,050 units. This also represents a 24% increase compared to August 2025’s 553,727 units.
In addition to the sales figures, Hero MotoCorp achieved a 19% year-on-year growth in registrations, with 323,230 vehicles registered during September. The company celebrated a significant milestone by exceeding the production of 125 million two-wheelers, solidifying its position as the first Indian two-wheeler company to reach this level of production.
Motorcycles, historically a key segment for Hero, saw 626,217 units sold in September 2025. This reflects a roughly 5% increase over the 597,529 units sold in the same month the previous year, and a positive trend from August 2025. However, YTD sales experienced a slight decrease, with 28,02,266 units sold compared to 28,57,090 units the prior year.
The scooter segment emerged as a significant growth driver for Hero. Scooter dispatches reached 61,003 units in September 2025, a 54% increase compared to the 39,521 units dispatched in September 2024. YTD scooter sales also showed robust growth, increasing by 29% to 2,55,506 units.
Hero’s EV subsidiary, Vida, also contributed to the positive results, registering 12,736 EV units in September 2025. The EV market share increased to 12.2%, up from 4.7% the previous year. The Vida VX2 model experienced particularly high demand across multiple cities, exceeding supply, thus strengthening the EV portfolio.
The positive impact of GST reforms and the festive season contributed to enhanced sales for Hero. The company introduced 12 new or updated products in the past year, boosting bookings and dealership traffic.
