Skoda Auto India’s performance in the third quarter of 2025 showcased a remarkable rise, with a 110 percent year-over-year growth, signaling a strong foothold in the Indian automotive landscape. September 2025 was a standout month, with sales figures doubling compared to the previous year, reaching 6,636 cars. The primary driver behind this growth is the Skoda Kylaq SUV, which has garnered significant customer interest since its introduction. Its demand has been so high that it has become the leading model in the Skoda lineup. Alongside Kylaq, models like Kushaq, Slavia, and Kodiaq have also maintained consistent sales. Skoda’s progress in India, amidst fierce competition, suggests that its strategy is effective. The combination of premium features, robust performance, and reliability has made Skoda a popular choice among consumers. The company aims to continue this growth trend in the coming months. The strong performance of Skoda Auto India in 2025 is attributed to its product lineup, particularly the Kylaq, its initial sub-4 meter SUV. The Kylaq has already sold over 34,500 units, significantly aiding in the company’s achievement of 53,355 units sold between January and September 2025. The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 999cc, 1-liter turbo-petrol engine, delivering 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic (DC/TC). Key features consist of 6 airbags, parking sensors, a cooled glovebox, and cruise control, while the boot space is 446 liters, and the ground clearance is 189 mm.
