Bihar is set to benefit from the introduction of three new Amrit Bharat Express trains, designed to improve travel options within and beyond the state. The announcement was made by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who confirmed that the trains will begin operations from Patna Junction starting September 30th. The official flagging-off ceremony, led by the Union Minister, will take place on Monday via video conferencing. The launch of these trains is seen as a significant move to benefit the citizens of Bihar, particularly with Diwali and the upcoming assembly elections in mind. The new routes will connect Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli (near Hyderabad), Darbhanga to Madar Junction (near Ajmer), and Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi). Notably, the Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli service will be the first Amrit Bharat train to South India, while the Chhapra–Anand Vihar Express will be the sixth to serve the national capital.
