Following the Vande Bharat Express, the Amrit Bharat Express is emerging as a convenient travel alternative for people. This train is also very affordable, which has led to its quick rise in popularity, according to the Railway Board. A Railway Board official mentioned that the Amrit Bharat Express strengthens the country’s self-reliance. The Amrit Bharat Express showcases the changing face of the nation. Its design and the facilities it provides are attracting people. While premium trains like Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, and Rajdhani are already operating in the country, the Amrit Bharat Express has rapidly gained prominence, focusing on passenger comfort.
The occupancy rates of this train are highly competitive with the Vande Bharat, with seats nearly always full. The train is also technologically advanced and very safe, offering a special travel option to railway passengers. The train enables common people to travel 1000 kilometers in the unreserved category for just ₹500. The train is an AC train. Currently, 12 Amrit Bharat Express trains are running across the country.
Today, three Amrit Bharat Express trains will be launched in Bihar. Currently, 10 of the trains operate from Bihar. Following this launch, the total number of Amrit Bharat Express trains will be 15, with 13 of them serving Bihar. These trains will operate between Muzaffarpur-Charalapalli (near Hyderabad), Darbhanga-Madar Junction (near Ajmer), and Chhapra-Anand Vihar.
The Amrit Bharat is considered a symbol of the modernization of Indian Railways. This train is not only affordable but also features modern amenities such as semi-automatic couplers, a fire detection system, sealed gangways, and talkback units.
