Donald Trump reported a positive reception to the proposed peace plan for Gaza, highlighting that the initiative is gaining traction. He noted the general sentiment that people are weary of conflict, and he expressed his hope for Israel’s support. During a telephone conversation, Trump shared his belief that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also desires to finalize the agreement. Trump and Netanyahu are set to convene at the White House on Monday. Before the meeting, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who previously served as a Middle East envoy, held discussions with Netanyahu in New York. The meeting comes shortly after Trump’s release of a 21-point strategy designed to bring an end to the conflict in the Palestinian territory. This plan was revealed during discussions with Arab and Muslim leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.
