TVS has expanded its XL100 lineup with the addition of the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy variant. This model distinguishes itself with the inclusion of tubeless tires mounted on alloy wheels. The ex-showroom price for this model is set at ₹59,800, making it the premium offering within the XL100 range. The existing lineup includes four other variants.
The addition of alloy wheels gives the TVS XL100 Heavy Duty a refreshed appearance, further emphasized by the color options of red, blue, and gray. The design maintains its core elements such as the single seat, round headlight, and handlebars. The motorcycle is equipped with EcoThrust fuel injection, self-start functionality, an LED headlight, and tubeless tires. These features aim to enhance fuel efficiency, ease of starting, and rider safety.
The XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy is powered by a 99.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 4.3 hp and a peak torque of 6.5 Nm. The mechanical specifications remain consistent, including telescopic front suspension and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Despite the updates, the curb weight is maintained at 89 kg, similar to other variants.
The new wheel configuration has not impacted the curb weight. This variant weighs 89 kilograms, on par with three other XL 100 models. Only the base XL 100 Heavy Duty is 1 kilogram lighter. Key features include an LED headlight, an easy on-off switch, and a mobile charging port, solidifying the XL100’s position in the Indian market.
