Toyota India has released a teaser for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition on social media, highlighting its all-black aesthetic. The compact SUV is anticipated to launch in November, coinciding with the Toyota Drum Tao music festival. This edition promises an all-black exterior and interior. The Hyryder Aero Edition will incorporate a new black paint scheme and a faux carbon fiber finish on the grille, alongside other enhancements. The extent of styling modifications is yet to be determined. The tailgate is expected to bear an ‘Aero Edition’ badge, with the cabin likely retaining its original layout but featuring new black upholstery. The automaker updated the Hyryder earlier this year, adding numerous new features. The top-tier variant now includes an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, an AQI display, a new digital console, TPMS, Type-C USB charging ports, ambient lighting, rear door sunshades, and LED reading and spot lamps. The 2025 Hyryder offers a 6-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive (AWD) version, while the AWD manual version is discontinued. All variants of the SUV now come standard with six airbags and an electronic parking brake for automatic versions. The new Hyryder Aero Edition will likely offer all three powertrain choices. These include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-liter strong hybrid engine, and a 1.5-liter CNG option. Transmission options will include manual and automatic, depending on the chosen engine. The Hyryder’s price has been reduced significantly due to GST reforms. The starting price is now ₹10.95 lakh, and it goes up to ₹19.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
