A tragic incident unfolded in the Form Area of Kadma, East Singhbhum, where Malti Kumari, aged 28, ended her life on Friday afternoon, broadcasting the act live on social media. The event took place at her residence, quarter number 16/19. Her husband was at work and their children were at school, leaving her alone at the time of the suicide. Details reveal that the woman used her scarf to hang herself from a fan. The live video showed Malti accusing her husband, Sahdev Yadav, of causing conflict and subjecting her to daily abuse. Family members promptly transported her to TMH, but doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. Malti and Sahdev Yadav had married in 2013 and had two children. Her husband is employed as a contractor at Tata Steel. While she was a native of Giridih and her in-laws resided in Koderma, she lived with her family in Kadma. Following the live video evidence, Kadma police detained the husband on Saturday for interrogation. The body was released to the family after a postmortem examination. The community and the victim’s family are deeply affected by this event.
