In a disturbing case from the Masturi area of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, a minor girl has been sexually assaulted. The 13-year-old victim was outside her home for sanitation purposes when the assault took place. Raju Markam, a local resident, is the accused.
The attack occurred when the girl was alone. Markam, taking advantage of the situation, sexually assaulted her. Following the incident, Markam absconded from the location.
The girl’s family reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of the accused. During questioning, the accused admitted to the crime. Police have filed a case under rape and the POCSO Act, launching a judicial investigation into the matter.
