The Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, a new initiative in Bihar, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday through video conferencing. The scheme saw the first disbursement of funds, with Rs 10,000 each being transferred to the bank accounts of 75 lakh women. The program’s primary objective is to encourage self-employment and improve the economic standing of women in Bihar.
Modi remarked, “In this auspicious time of Navratri, I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the happiness of the women in Bihar. Up to now, 75 lakh women have participated in this scheme. Each of them has received Rs 10,000 in their bank accounts simultaneously.”
