In anticipation of Diwali and Chhath, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has announced a special bus service with discounted fares. The service, available until November 30th, aims to help passengers reach their homes conveniently amidst the long waiting lists for train reservations. This initiative includes subsidies on bus fares, ensuring more affordable and comfortable travel.
The special buses will operate from Patna, connecting to key cities in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and neighboring areas. BSRTC has equipped its buses with modern facilities to enhance passenger comfort and safety.
The fare reduction applies to several routes. For the Patna-Delhi route, a subsidy of ₹619 reduces the fare from ₹1873 to ₹1254. The Patna-Nagpur route will cost ₹1133, down from ₹1527 with a ₹394 subsidy. Additionally, the Patna-SCR route fare has been reduced from ₹2812 to ₹1893.
Buses from Delhi will run from 2 PM to 8 PM, reaching Patna the following day. Passengers can easily book tickets online. During the festivals, buses will also serve destinations like Ghaziabad, Mathura, Varanasi, and Hajipur from Patna. This scheme facilitates a safe and cost-effective travel option for passengers while improving the reputation of BSRTC bus services. Ticket bookings can be made at https://bsrtc.co.in/.
