With all political parties gearing up for the Bihar Assembly elections, the National President of the National Women’s Congress, Alka Lamba, has criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. She claimed that women have lost faith in Kumar and that Bihar is seeking change. Lamba believes that this time, there will be a change in Bihar.
Lamba announced that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be visiting Bihar on Friday. The purpose of the visit is to connect with women voters and to raise women’s issues in collaboration with the Mahagathbandhan. After a program at Sadaqat Ashram, Priyanka Gandhi will travel to Motihari by helicopter to address a large rally focused on women’s empowerment, inflation, and unemployment.
Priyanka Gandhi’s first stop will be at the Sadaqat Ashram in Patna. Here, she will engage in a joint dialogue with female leaders and workers from all the parties of the Mahagathbandhan. The Women’s Congress believes that this dialogue will strengthen the shifting perspective of women in Bihar’s political landscape.
Alka Lamba stated that women had previously supported Nitish Kumar, but now the circumstances have changed. She believes that women’s trust in him has diminished. Lamba predicted significant change in the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, stating that the NDA will face a major defeat.
Furthermore, Lamba addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent announcement of providing 10,000 rupees to women. She suggested that this was a response to the Congress’s earlier announcements for women, but the women of Bihar are aware and will not be misled.
