A major crackdown on gambling activities was carried out by the police in Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh. Acting on intelligence about gambling operations in the Chhata forest of the Pantora region, the police initiated a raid. The gamblers, upon noticing the police presence, dispersed. Despite this, law enforcement officials successfully seized 17 motorcycles from the site.
Gambling had been an ongoing issue in the Chhata forest for a considerable duration, yet authorities had struggled to apprehend those involved. SP Vijay Pandey received information about gambling activities in the Chhata forest. Following this, the SP formed a police team, which included officers from the Baloda police station and the Pantora sub-police station.
During the raid, the gamblers evaded capture, but the police were able to recover 17 motorcycles. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are pursuing further actions.
