At the UN Human Rights Council, India responded to Pakistan’s critical remarks, highlighting the country’s internal issues. Indian representative Kshitij Tyagi brought attention to the Pakistani army’s actions against civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. India asserted that Pakistan should first address its economic crisis before making accusations against others. Tyagi emphasized that Pakistan would be in a better position to focus on its economy if it ceased bombing its own populace.
India accused Pakistan of misusing the council to spread false narratives and make provocative claims. Speaking at the 60th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Counselor Kshitij Tyagi stated that Pakistan should concentrate on stabilizing its economy, reforming its political system, and improving its human rights record instead of making unfounded claims against India. He underscored that the Pakistani delegation continuously abused the forum with baseless statements.
