The Nexon reached the 200,000 sales milestone in June 2021, 45 months after its launch. The next 200,000 units were sold in just 16 months, crossing the 400,000 mark in October 2022. The journey from 400,000 to 500,000 took only 6 months, and reaching 600,000 took 7 months. The 700,000 sales mark was achieved in July 2024, after another 7 months. The 800,000 mark was crossed in February 2025. Now, a record of 900,000 sales is set to be achieved in September 2025, eight years and one month after its launch.
The base model of the Tata Nexon starts at ₹7.32 lakh, while the top model costs up to ₹14.05 lakh (average ex-showroom). According to ARAI, the Tata Nexon’s petrol manual model provides approximately 17.44 km/l, the petrol automatic (AMT) model approximately 17.18 km/l, the diesel manual model approximately 23.23 km/l, the diesel automatic model approximately 24.08 km/l, and the CNG model approximately 17.44 km/kg. This indicates that diesel variants offer better mileage compared to petrol, and the CNG variant is as economical as petrol.
