The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is offering a special Falahari menu on trains for the 2025 Navratri festival. This service is designed to cater to passengers who are observing fasts and following specific dietary guidelines during this time.
The Falahari meals offer a range of Satvik options, including jeera aloo, aloo tikki, sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada, malai barfi, lassi, dry-roasted fox nuts, fasting vegetables, roasted peanuts, and plain curd. Passengers can conveniently order these meals through the IRCTC e-catering website or the mobile app, with options for online payment or payment upon delivery. The meals are delivered directly to passenger berths at select stations, with prices varying from 100 to 200 per meal.
Furthermore, the Railway Board has directed all zonal railways to provide larger 1-liter Rail Neer bottles on all Vande Bharat trains to enhance passenger comfort. This upgrade replaces the 500ml bottles and is already in effect on all Vande Bharat routes, including the new Bhopal-Rani Kamalapati to Hazrat Nizamuddin line via Gwalior and the Khajuraho Vande Bharat service.
