The Jharkhand government will establish a hostel in Delhi to support students from the state who are preparing for the UPSC exams. This initiative was revealed by Welfare Minister Chamra Linda. Minister Linda was present as the chief guest at a cultural dance competition organized by the Tribal Society at St. Xavier’s College in Ranchi. During his speech, he mentioned that the decision was influenced by the efforts of the Meena community. He highlighted that the Meena community officials had built a hostel in the Dwarka area of Delhi for their community’s students, which motivated the Jharkhand government to undertake this project.
He also stressed the importance of increasing the number of tribal youths in top-tier services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), recognizing the significant roles senior administrative officers and ministers play in the state’s progress. The minister encouraged young people to persevere in their studies and realize their capabilities through education. He confirmed that the government is committed to the betterment of the tribal community, and is making every possible effort to support it.
