A 15-year-old girl was killed in Jharkhand’s Khunti district by her boyfriend. The incident took place within the Tapkara police station jurisdiction. The boyfriend entered the girl’s home and attacked her with a knife in front of her mother, resulting in her death. The local police were informed immediately after the crime.
The police have apprehended the boyfriend, identified as Premchand Sahu. Their relationship began on Facebook approximately two years prior. They subsequently entered a live-in relationship for about four months after Sahu convinced the girl to move in with him. During this time, the girl discovered that Sahu was already married, leading to conflicts. This resulted in physical abuse and the girl eventually left his home.
On September 20th, Sahu went to her home and attempted to force her to return with him. When she refused, he attacked her and her mother. He then fatally stabbed the girl in front of her mother. The girl was taken to the hospital with the help of the local villagers but was declared dead. The police took possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem. Premchand Sahu has been arrested and is under police custody.
