With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, the NDA is campaigning with Nitish Kumar as their CM candidate, a position affirmed by Prime Minister Modi. The Mahagathbandhan, however, has yet to declare its CM face. In an interview, Tejashwi Yadav suggested he was a suitable candidate, a view now supported by Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh.
Singh believes Tejashwi Yadav will be the CM face for the Mahagathbandhan, emphasizing that no other alternative exists within the alliance. Tejashwi Yadav currently leads the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and is considered a strong contender for the Chief Minister’s role, also serving as the Leader of the Opposition. He was the Mahagathbandhan’s CM face in the 2020 elections.
Tejashwi Yadav indicated in an interview that the alliance will not contest the elections without a CM face. Discussions have taken place within the Mahagathbandhan, and an announcement is anticipated after seat-sharing is finalized. The focus is currently on the Adhikar Yatra, a youth-oriented initiative designed to promote investment, establish industries, and address unemployment and poverty in Bihar.
