In Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, a soldier lost his life during an encounter with terrorists. The incident occurred amidst a search operation in the region’s elevated terrain. The army came under fire from terrorists, resulting in one soldier’s injury. Despite immediate medical attention, the soldier’s injuries proved fatal.
Authorities initiated the search operation on Friday evening in the Dudu-Basantgarh area of Udhampur and the Seoj Dhar forest area bordering Bhadrawah in Doda. The joint operation involved the army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The soldier was injured in the subsequent exchange of fire with the terrorists and passed away at the hospital.
