The head of the Congress Overseas Department, Sam Pitroda, has again drawn criticism due to his recent remarks. Pitroda released a video where he expressed feeling at home in Pakistan, stating that he doesn’t feel like he’s in a foreign country when he visits. This statement was made during a period of tense relations between India and Pakistan.
Pitroda believes that India should engage in talks with Pakistan to improve relations. This advice was offered despite India’s stance of not engaging in any communication with Pakistan, particularly since Operation Sindoor.
He also addressed Nepal and Bangladesh, suggesting that there’s a need to improve ties with these countries as well. Pitroda emphasized that a successful foreign policy requires healthy relations with neighboring nations.
Pitroda questioned if India currently has favorable relations with Nepal and Bangladesh, implying that the situation is not ideal.
