Aryan Khan’s foray into Bollywood with the Netflix series ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ has become a topic of discussion. The series, created by Shah Rukh Khan’s son, has drawn attention due to a potential reference to a past drug case that involved Aryan. He was previously arrested in connection to the case, but later received a clean chit.
It is believed that the series includes a comedic reference to the former Narcotics Control Bureau officer, Sameer Wankhede, who was involved in the drug case that led to Aryan’s arrest. This has led to reactions from the public.
The series boasts a cast featuring Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli, as well as Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and in cameo roles, Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, Aamir Khan, SS Rajamouli, Karan Johar, Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh. The show’s producers suggest further star appearances.
The narrative of ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ revolves around Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), a rising star in Bollywood. Bobby Deol will play a significant role in the film industry, and Aasmaan will be involved with the daughter of the character. The plot explores the challenges and complexities of navigating the entertainment world.
Aryan Khan, discussing his debut, stated: “With The Ba***ds of Bollywood, I wanted to build a world that feels alive, a mix of glitz and grit, where ambition shines, egos clash, and nothing is ever as it seems. In Netflix, we found a partner who shared our creative vision—helping us tell the story exactly how it needed to be told, raw, stylised, and something the world has never experienced before.”
The production of ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ is overseen by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. Bonnie Jain and Akshat Verma are the executive producers. The series was created and directed by Aryan Khan, along with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, who contributed to the screenplay.
