Tata Motors has plans to introduce three new compact SUVs, expanding its presence in the market. These models are expected to be priced below ₹10 lakh. The company intends to launch two of these SUVs within a three-year timeframe. The Tata Punch facelift is slated for a November release. The facelifted Tata Punch is expected to feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 7.0-inch unit in the current model. The SUV is also expected to see improvements to its driver display. The new Tata Punch is likely to retain the 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options, along with 5-speed manual and automatic manual transmission choices. While the current Tata Punch CNG offers a 5-speed manual transmission, the new Punch CNG might offer a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
The second-generation Nexon (code-named: Garuda) is anticipated to launch in 2027. This model will likely be available with 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options. The 1.5-liter diesel engine option is not expected to be available. The vehicle is expected to include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS, and a power driver seat. Furthermore, Tata may also launch the Scarlet, a rugged SUV intended to rival vehicles like the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
