Amidst the backdrop of heightened political activity in Bihar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav addressed a press conference on Monday, taking aim at the Nitish Kumar government. Yadav specifically targeted Minister Jibesh Mishra, accusing him of wrongdoing and presenting evidence. He alleged Mishra’s involvement in a fraudulent drug case and highlighted a video purportedly showing the minister assaulting a journalist who inquired about local road conditions.
Following the presentation of the video, Yadav questioned the government’s commitment to justice and law and order. He asked whether the Chief Minister was aware of the minister’s alleged offenses and whether an FIR would be filed. He also criticized the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit, questioning if justice would be served to the affected journalist and demanding the minister’s dismissal. Yadav accused the government of harboring criminals and called for accountability.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepared to visit Bihar, Yadav criticized his governance and raised concerns about various issues. He questioned the state of rural roads, the lack of teachers in schools, the poor health infrastructure, and the challenges faced by women and youth. Yadav criticized the financial impact of the Prime Minister’s rallies on the state and reminded the Prime Minister of his prior promises. He accused the Prime Minister of making false promises and misleading the people of Bihar.
