The Chhattisgarh high-profile drug case will see the appearance of all accused, including Navya Malik and Vidhi Agarwal, in court this Monday. The police have apprehended a total of nine individuals in connection with the investigation. Following the completion of their two-day remand, Navya Malik and Vidhi Agarwal were presented before a special court on September 6th. The court subsequently remanded them to judicial custody until September 15th. Those scheduled to appear in court on Monday include Navya Malik, Ayan Parvez, Vidhi Agarwal, Rishiraj Tandon, Sohail Khan, Junaid Akhtar, Harsh Ahuja, and Monu Vishnoi, all of whom have been arrested in relation to the case.
During questioning, significant revelations have come to light. According to police sources, Navya and Vidhi regularly visited Mumbai and Goa each month, where lavish parties were held, attended by young people from wealthy families. They provided information regarding hotels, resorts, clubs, and farmhouses in Raipur, Nava Raipur, Mandir Hasaud, VIP Road, and Chandkhuri that hosted these parties. Vidhi’s event company, ‘Behind The Scenes’, organized numerous events, including New Year celebrations, at prominent hotels, clubs, and marriage venues in Raipur.
The investigation revealed that these gatherings would commence with a group of approximately 25-30 individuals, but only 10-15 would remain after 1 a.m. Drug use and obscene activities were also reported at the farmhouses. The accused had connections with influential figures such as industrialists, business people, Chartered Accountants, police, and administrative officials, with whom they admitted to having partied. The police have obtained mobile phone chats from the accused, which are being used to compile a list of drug consumers. These individuals will be summoned for counseling, and their families will be notified due to a lack of awareness about their children’s activities. Law enforcement is preparing to question the owners of the farmhouses and clubs involved.
Police operations, dubbed ‘Operation Nishchay’, have yielded positive results. Building on the information provided by the arrested Navya and Ayan Parvez, law enforcement apprehended four additional drug peddlers on Thursday. These include Vidhi Agarwal, Rishiraj Tandon, Sohail Khan, and Junaid Akhtar. Vidhi Agarwal and Rishiraj Tandon were key event managers for parties in the city. Sohail Khan and Junaid Akhtar are alleged to be close associates of Navya and Ayan. A total of nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the case so far.
Prior to the recent arrests, Harsh Ahuja, Monu Vishnoi, and Deep Dhanoria were taken into custody. Authorities seized 27.58 grams of MDMA, 85,300 rupees in cash, a car, and five mobile phones from them. Following this, Navya Malik and Ayan Parvez were also apprehended. In the latest developments, four more suspects have been arrested. The apprehended individuals are being questioned by law enforcement in police custody regarding their connections and the network involved in the drug trade. Detailed inquiries into other suspects are ongoing, based on these connections.
