A disturbing crime has taken place in Patna, the capital of Bihar, where a disabled man was murdered near a temple. The victim was brutally killed by being crushed with stones. The incident has caused widespread consternation in the area.
According to initial reports, the murder occurred in the Gauri Sthan area, under the Maner police station. The deceased, identified as Jeet Lal Rai, was a resident of Sherpur. He was staying at the home of his brother-in-law, Rudal Rai, in Jivrakhan Tola. The police investigation indicates that the murder was a planned act.
Following the event, the police launched a comprehensive investigation, questioning several individuals. The temple cleaner, Laxman Rai, revealed that Gorakh Rai and his brother were behind the murder. CCTV footage from the temple showed one person attacking the sleeping victim on the temple platform with a stone and fleeing, while another acted as a lookout. The assailant was identified as Bulu Rai from Jivrakhan Tola, and the lookout was Laxman Rai. Both Bulu Rai and Laxman Rai have been apprehended.
The investigation uncovered that the motive was to falsely implicate others. A few days earlier, a loudspeaker was stolen from the temple, and Laxman Rai was questioned by the police. The suspects believed Gorakh and his brother were responsible for their questioning. Driven by this belief, they murdered the disabled man sleeping on the platform, hoping to frame Gorakh and his brother. The police are currently taking appropriate legal action in this case.
