However, it is behind Afghanistan due to net run rate (NRR). Afghanistan’s superior NRR (4.700) placed them at the top, while Sri Lanka (2.595) is second. Bangladesh (-0.650) is third after the loss.
Sri Lanka’s upcoming match is against Hong Kong on September 15. Sri Lanka is expected to gain two points and significantly improve their NRR. Any upset by Hong Kong could change the standings, but Sri Lanka is projected to secure the top position.
