During his visit to the Cartoon Festival-2025 in Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the significance of cartoons. He described cartoons as more than just entertainment, calling them a reflection of society that uses humor to address serious issues. The Chief Minister believes cartoons play a key role in raising awareness and encouraging critical thinking. At the event, Mr. Sai presented the Lifetime Achievement Award from Cartoon Watch magazine to Mr. Manoj Chopra, a celebrated cartoonist from Jammu and Kashmir. He also took the time to create a cartoon himself, showing his support for the artists. Addressing the Cartoon Watch Festival, Mr. Sai praised the magazine’s 29 years of successful operation and its entry into its 30th year. He offered his congratulations to the Cartoon Watch team, encouraging their continued excellence. He expressed his hope that the festival could be held in Bastar next year, noting the improving peace and the progress towards a Naxalism-free environment. He discussed the government’s initiatives in Bastar through the Niyad Nella Nar Yojana, focusing on providing essential services like roads, electricity, and ration cards to numerous villages. He noted the shift from conflict to development in the region, with schools replacing gunfire.
