Hyundai Motor India has declared major price cuts across its model range. This initiative, set to take effect from September 22, 2025, will allow the benefits of the new GST 2.0 tax structure to be directly reflected in the prices for customers. Hyundai states that these adjustments will result in price reductions of up to ₹2.4 lakh, varying by model and variant. This strategy is designed to make purchasing cars easier for prospective buyers and to stimulate increased sales during the upcoming festive period.
i20 Price Reductions: The popular premium hatchback, Hyundai i20, sees price reductions of up to ₹85,000. For instance, the Magna variant, previously priced at ₹7,78,800, is now available for ₹7,12,385 after a reduction of ₹66,415. Likewise, the Magna Exe trim’s price has dropped by ₹50,900, resulting in a new price of ₹6,86,865.
The Sportz variant, which is mid-level, now costs roughly ₹67,397 less, setting its new price at ₹7,74,403. The Sportz (O) and Sportz (IVT) trims also present reductions of over 9%. Top-tier versions like the Asta and Asta (O) are more affordable, giving advantages to buyers at all levels.
Grand i10 Nios Price Revisions: For those considering a new car purchase within a budget, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is now more accessible. This model experiences price reductions of up to ₹71,480.
The Era variant has dropped from ₹5,98,300 to ₹5,47,278, while the Magna trim now costs ₹6,25,853. The Sportz Dual CNG trim experiences the greatest benefit, with its price decreasing from ₹8,38,200 to ₹7,66,720.
Sedan Segment Price Cuts: The Hyundai Aura, a part of the compact sedan segment, is also included in these price cuts. Varying reductions, ranging from ₹55,780 to ₹76,316, apply to different variants. The base E trim is now available for ₹5,98,320, while the E CNG variant offers a ₹64,368 advantage. The recently introduced S AMT variant now costs ₹7,38,812. High-end models such as SX CNG, SX+, and SX (O) have also seen price reductions, making them more attractive for new customers.
Expected Festive Season Sales Boost: The company expects these significant price cuts to increase interest, particularly among first-time car buyers. Given the historical trend of increased new car purchases during the festive season, the lowered prices are expected to boost demand.
