Teja Sajja’s ‘Mirai’ Secures Lucrative OTT Deal and Sets Release Date

The fantasy drama ‘Mirai,’ starring Teja Sajja, is scheduled to be released on September 12, 2025, in Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Bengali. A significant Rs 40 crore OTT deal has been finalized, representing 90% of the film’s Rs 50 crore production budget. The digital rights have been acquired by Jio Hotstar in a groundbreaking deal, making it a top-tier digital purchase in the Telugu film industry this year. Revenue from music and satellite rights will also contribute to the film’s financial success. The performance in theaters will be critical to the film’s overall financial gains. Theatrical rights in Telugu states have been sold for Rs 37 crore, and the film needs to earn at least Rs 34 crore to reach the break-even point. Early ticket sales indicate a strong level of interest from the audience, which suggests a favorable initial response. After the nationwide success of ‘HanuMan’, Teja Sajja has become well-known beyond the Telugu audience and the Hindi release of ‘Mirai’ is eagerly awaited. The film, presented by Karan Johar, also features Manchu Manoj’s return as the main antagonist, which may mark a turning point in his career. The film is directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and Anil Anand and features Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, Manchu Manoj Kumar, Shriya Saran, Jagapati Babu and Jayaram Subramaniam.
