Facing the devastating floods in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has remained dedicated to supporting affected families and coordinating relief operations. Despite being hospitalized, he held a video call with Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh, acknowledging his contributions to the relief efforts.
Mann also extended specific gratitude to Preetpal Singh Hanspal, the proprietor of Hanspal Traders. Hanspal Traders significantly aided in rescuing individuals and their livestock from the floodwaters, notably by constructing more than 150 boats.
Addressing the situation, Chief Minister Mann highlighted how Punjabis have once more exemplified their bravery, dedication to service, and communal solidarity. The government is committed to backing all individuals involved in assisting others and saving lives. This backing extends beyond mere administrative support; it represents a deep emotional connection with the people. This is why every Punjabi feels secure in knowing their government, and indeed their entire community, stands with them.
Following a health issue, CM Bhagwant Mann was admitted to the hospital on September 5th. After his health improved, he conducted a cabinet meeting remotely from the hospital. The cabinet meeting had been initially postponed. He was also unable to join CM Arvind Kejriwal on a visit to the flood-affected areas.
