Apple Announces iOS 26 Rollout: Limited Compatibility and New Features

The highly anticipated iOS 26 update will be released on September 15th, according to announcements made during the Apple Event 2025. This update brings a redesigned ‘liquid glass interface’ and other improvements. However, the update will not be available for all iPhone models. The update’s availability might vary depending on region and language due to local regulations. The models that will not receive the iOS 26 update are iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone XR. Compatible models include: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd Generation), and iPhone 16e. Apple Intelligence features will be supported on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 16e. Users can access the beta version by joining the Apple Developer Program and downloading it through the Software Update settings.
