The Delhi High Court is set to intervene in a case brought forth by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is seeking legal action against the misuse of her likeness and identity. The actress has requested the court to ban the unauthorized use of her name, photographs, and AI-generated content. Her lawyer, Sandeep Sethi, highlighted instances of online misuse, including the creation of fabricated images. The court has signaled its intent to issue an order protecting Bachchan’s personality and publicity rights, preventing the unauthorized commercial or promotional use of her name, image, or voice. Justice Tejas Karia confirmed that the court will direct platforms to remove infringing web links. Attorneys Praveen Anand and Dhruv Anand, representing Bachchan, have accused various entities of exploiting her identity. The petition also claims that her images are being altered and disseminated in pornographic forms, causing damage to her reputation. Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi emphasized that her name and images are being exploited to satisfy the desires of individuals.
