With Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections on the horizon, the state’s political environment is heating up. All political parties are actively preparing for the elections. Upendra Kushwaha, the head of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), has made a recent statement. He affirmed that his party stands with the NDA and will contest the elections united.
During an interview, Kushwaha confirmed the RLM’s alliance with the NDA. Regarding seat distribution, he mentioned that the media’s discussions could be detrimental. He added that they would focus on their own strategy and keep it confidential.
Kushwaha further described the JDU as his former home, expressing his concern for the party. He stated that a successor is not appointed in a day. He lauded CM Nitish Kumar, emphasizing his experience and its value to Bihar. On the topic of the CM’s son, Nishant, entering politics, Kushwaha stated that it would be Nitish Kumar’s decision.
Regarding Tejashwi Yadav’s dance, the RLM leader criticized the RJD, calling it a party that only talks nonsense. While acknowledging that dancing itself is not wrong, Kushwaha found the manner of Yadav’s dance inappropriate. He advised Yadav to be mindful of his public image. He also highlighted the Nitish government’s efforts to provide jobs and challenged the opposition to address any perceived government shortcomings through action rather than dancing. This reaction followed Tejashwi’s recent dance performance with young people at Patna’s Marine Drive.
On the issue of alleged vote theft by the opposition, Kushwaha stated that it is no longer a relevant issue. He said the opposition gained nothing from this. He urged the opposition to present the individuals targeted if they believed such a situation occurred.
Concerning Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, Kushwaha stated that Kishor is irrelevant in the current political scenario. He stated that the main competition is between the NDA and the alliance.
